| Continuing Education |
|
Every CRFATM member is required to obtain 15 hours of retiree-financial specific continuing education towards their annual renewal.
CRFA™ Continuing Education (CE) is a recertification process and therefore the courses you take should be directly linked to the knowledge, skills, and abilities covered in the original training class. Retiree specific issues taken from the various areas within the financial planning discipline are the focus of the CRFA™.
In addition, we have links to several providers that offer courses in retiree specific topics that are approved for CRFA™ Continuing Education. Most of these courses also qualify for PACE or CFP® credit.

SCRFA members must maintain their level of competency through continuing education. They must also agree to continue to abide by the Code of Ethics, a primary agreement for elite advisors, and continue to provide objective recommendations. The following link provides the public with the forms to file a complaint and the options available to the member. If the Society agrees that the member has violated their rules of ethics, the publication also contains the disciplinary actions the Society will take against the member.

2009 Job Analysis
|
The analysis consisted of a survey that was posted on-line. Individuals in the financial advisory services responded by identifying the topics they considered essential to retirement. Their responses were mapped to the existing question data base. Where there were deficiencies, SMEs participated in writing new questions.
