SCRFA engaged the firm of Schroder Measurement Technologies, Inc. to perform a Job Analysis. The analysis was designed to develop a certification examination program meeting the standards established in The Joint Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing (AERA< APA< and NCME, 1999) Standards 14.10 and 14.14. The anlaysis consisted of a survey that was posted on-line. Individuals in the financial advisory services responded by identifying the topics they considered essential to retirement. Their responses were mapped to the existing question data base. Where there were deficiencies, SMEs participated in writing new questions.
